2025 Holiday Gift Guide for Gardeners
In the northern hemisphere, the Holiday season falls conveniently on the time of year where gardeners have had some time to reflect on the past gardening season and put together a wishlist or shopping game plan for the supplies that would have made their gardening year easier. It’s possible that I’m projecting my own feelings and maybe I’m a bit too pragmatic about the gift giving tradition, but if you’re going to receive presents, why not get what you really want need for the garden?
I let my imagination run wild last year and put together a holiday gift guide of over 50 items, which included gardening tools, label making supplies, botanical art, floral design books and supplies, seed starting supplies, planters, sun protection, gardening games and more. I’ve since acquired a few of those items and still drool over the others. Like last year, I’m sprinkling in products I already have and love. Want even more ideas? Check out the gardening supplies recommended by Garden Revival community members.
The links are for shopping in the US but the Amazon links will redirect to similar items for people in Canada, Netherlands, UK, France, Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy and Sweden. When you shop my affiliate links, I earn a small commission. When you buy from Garden Revival community members, you’re supporting small businesses. Thanks and enjoy!

Seed Storage Box
$
There aren’t many seed storage boxes tall enough to fit the larger seed packets like the ones from Baker Creek, but this one has the necessary height and comes with accessories like seed packets to store and share your own seed harvests.
Big Baus Box Set
$
A gift to show your sweetheart just how hot your love burns, on its way in and out. The sauces are made by Garden Revival community member and YouTuber baus grows and this trio includes his favorites.
Pepper Ranger Seeds
$
Pepper seeds from unique cultivars grown by Garden Revival community member and YouTuber Pepper Ranger.
Danger Bros. Seeds
$
Another one of our community members who is a purveyor of pepper seeds. This one ships from Canada.
Heirloom Tomato Seed Bundle
$
Heirloom tomatoes are one of the most popular food crops among Garden Revival community members and this bundle includes 8 varieties! Tomato seeds store well — I’ve been using some packets for 5+ years now, stored at room temperature — so these won’t go to waste if you don’t use them up in a year or 2. The seeds in this bundle are organic, too.
The Container Herb Garden
$
Herbs were my gateway into gardening and this 5 herb collection makes me want to introduce someone else to this beautiful hobby.
Self Watering Seed Starting Kit
$
I have 7 of these kits and have used them for years. The plastic is sturdy enough to sanitize in the dishwasher, which gives me peace of mind. I’ve got more tips on how to use these, just ping me on Discord.
28 Cell Deep Root Propagator
$
These nifty side-open cells are perfect for rooting cuttings, starting tree saplings or deep rooted herbaceous plants like peas.
Pot Clip LED Grow Light
Pot Clip LED Grow Light (4 for the price of 2 with code BOGO)
$-$$
Tired of your plants dictating where they want to go in your home? This clip light’s gotchu and it’s got a built in timer. Go on with your bad self and put that baby in the corner, on your coffee table or on your work desk.
Dramm 2 Liter Watering Can (10% off with code GARDENREV)
Dramm 5 Liter Watering Can (10% off with code GARDENREV)
Haws 5 Liter Selly Soak
$-$$
I’ve used the 2 liter (.5 gallon) Dramm indoors for the past several years, with the rose removed most of the time. The long spout allows me to reach the back of my shelves when I’m starting too many seeds in tight quarters. I’m curious to try the 5 liter (1.3 gallon) Dramm or the Haws Selly Soak indoors, as both have the long spout but would allow me to make fewer trips to the faucet.
Evolve Retractable Hose Reel 90’ Hi-Flow (Beige)
Evolve Retractable Hose Reel 90’ Hi-Flow (Charcoal)
$$$
I am so excited about this new introduction. I have the 82’ model of the Classic Hoselink Reel and it has made my life so much easier. The hose in the Evolve reel is longer and the higher pressure means less time watering. Plus, the new design allows for replacement of parts so the whole shebang doesn’t have to be replaced if one part breaks, and that’s savings in the long run.
Zero-G Lightweight Hose (50 ft)
Zero-G Lightweight Hose (100 ft)
$-$$
The last thing I want to do on a hot summer day is wrestle a heavy hose so until I can swing for another Hoselink, I’m thinking of trying this lightweight hose recommended by Garden Revival community member jahnu.
Kneeling Pad
Kneeling Pad
Extra Thick Kneeling Pad
$
My memory foam kneeling pad is one of my top 3 most used items in the garden, with the others being my shovel and hori-hori knife. It’s under my knees when I’m working and under my tuchas when I’m resting. Of course, Amazon being Amazon, my exact cushion is no longer available, but here are some other options that have a memory foam layer.
Hula-Ho
$
This tool is a sanity saver after rain, when thousands of little weeds pop up all over the garden. Ho them suckers down with a gentle back and forth motion without getting down on your knees. Problem solved.
Leather Work Gloves
$
Protect your hands from thorns, prickles, glochids and the cold with these work gloves. These are available in a range of sizes from XXS to XXL. Or get the long gauntlets for extra protection.
Housolution Garden Tote Storage Bag
Halilus Printed Garden Tote Storage Bag with Accessories
Ironland Bucket Tool Organizer
$
Here are a few options for tool organizers. I like the extra horizontal strap to hold the tools in place on the Housolution tote. The printed Halilus tote has a cute whimsical aesthetic. I don’t expect the rakes and trowels to withstand heavy use — you can give those to your kids — but the little potting mat and gloves are a nice addition for the price. The Ironland bucket tool organizer wraps around a 5 gallon bucket so you can take the whole kit and kaboodle around the garden for small cleanup tasks like deadheading and is on crazy sale for Black Friday.
Govee Outdoor Portable Thermo-Hygrometer
$
Place this weather resistant Bluetooth device in a sheltered spot outdoors or in your greenhouse to get humidity and temperature readings down to -4F/-20C on the Govee Home App. You can set a temperature and humidity threshold range so that when the threshold is exceeded, an alarm will sound.
Shallow Basket Pot
Flared Basket Weave Pot
$$
Handmade in Warwickshire, England, Whichford Pottery’s Shallow Basket Pot is one of the company’s most popular designs, decorated in a basket-weave design based on vessels featured in Elizabethan engravings. It’s a lovely piece of pottery to cherish for many years.
Veradek Demi Series Round Planter
Veradek Demi Series Raised Planter
Veradek Demi Series Round Planters, Set of 3 (12”, 16”, 20” H)
$-$$$
A good pot is hard to find. A good pot on the larger side that won’t leave you eating ramen for a month is even harder to find. These are available in 12”, 16” and 20” heights and are relatively light-weight but durable. They work for indoor or outdoor use, but maybe more importantly, won’t break your back hauling them in and out with the seasons. Pots come in terracotta, black, gray, sandstone and white.
Veradek Demi Series Long Planter (30”)
Veradek Demi Series Raised Long Planter (30”)
$$-$$$
These slim, elongated planters are perfect for balconies, decks, narrow side yards and other tight spaces and match a variety of other size planters in Veradek’s Demi series. Gray, black, sandstone and white colors are available. You can get a single planter, but the price for 2 is just too good to pass up.
Cass Turnbull’s Guide to Pruning (Paperback)
Cass Turnbull’s Guide to Pruning (Kindle)
$
Garden Revival BBQ panelist Zappy considers this a must-read for any gardener with woody plants in their garden.
Well-Tempered Garden by Christopher Lloyd (Paperback)
$
Garden Revival community member Wes says this book “is as much about the practical approach to gardening and the use of color as it is about the philosophy of gardening and, even though it was written by someone who is considered like a godfather of formal gardening, his entire mindset is do what makes you happy and plant how you enjoy it. He has some very strong opinions but ultimately his point is: try stuff, screw the rules.”
Sculpted Songbirds Metal Pedestal Birdbath
$$
I mean, it’s just cute.
Garden of Wonder Birdhouse, Moss A-Frame
$
How sweet is this?
Olivier Teak Bench
$$$
I am a big fan of garden benches and have 4 in my small garden. Will this be my fifth? Teak outdoor furniture can weather the elements for decades and ages to a beautiful grey tone. Most cheaper wood benches are made of eucalyptus or acacia, which don’t have the longevity of teak. This is steal as far as teak furniture prices go!
Organic Oyster Mushroom Grow Kit
Organic Shiitake Mushroom Grow Kit
$
I’d say that mushroom kits deserve the title of fun for all ages. Watching stuff grow just never gets old.
Antique Rose Emporium Roses (12%-24% off Black Friday sale)
$
Gift someone a hard-to-find rose from Antique Rose Emporium(ARE), shipped at your desired time. If the gift recipient lives in a frost free zone, you can still have ARE ship the roses if you order by December 11. If they live in a cold winter zone, just call or email ARE and request a “You’re going to receive a gift!” card to present to the recipient. Or partake in the Black Friday sale and get yourself a rose or 5. ‘Gypsy Sue’ is an ARE introduction with very full fragrant blooms in the palest apricot color. ‘Reine de Violettes’ is a mauve to violet hybrid perpetual bred in 1860. ‘Felicia’ is an apricot toned hybrid musk which ARE describes as a generous bloomer and recommends for cut flowers. More contemporary introductions like ‘Plum Perfect’ and ‘Bliss Parfuma’ are also available. Roses are own root and shipped in a generous 2 gallon size.
6 Inch Ceramic Chinoiserie Vase
6.3 Inch Ceramic Chinoiserie Vase
9.4 Inch Ceramic Chinoiserie Vase
$
Growing and arranging flowers is a beloved activity of many in our community. I love vessels that look beautiful with a bouquet of blooms or as decorative objects on their own. And I’m crazy for crazing — that lovely crackle finish.
Blockprint Tablecloth (118” x 67”)
Blockprint Tablecloth (102” x 63”)
Blockprint Tablecloth (67” x 67”)
$-$$
Maybe this is out of left field (a sports reference whose origins I don’t understand) but wouldn’t this tablecloth look lovely with those chinoiserie vases? And it does have a botanical print. Lots of sizes are available.
Frosted White Vase
$
An option for the flower lover with a minimalist aesthetic. It’s not too big or too small — Goldilocks would approve.
Ikebana Kit (Large)
Ikebana Kit (Small)
$
Partake in the centuries old art form of Ikebana with one of these ceramic vase and kenzan kits. I’m partial to the green glaze but also love the dark brown, which has a more contemporary vibe.
